My favorite activity for this year was the projects for Ender’s Game. I really enjoyed drawing and making my own bugger! My least favorite activity was doing the annotations for Fahrenheit 451, I think it was helpfull but really boring! The activity I learned the most from was the Commas activities we did in class, I didn’t like doing all of those commas worksheets but it was helpfull i learned a lot from them. Something i learned that I didn’t expect to learn was reading a book and how to keep up with it. Like when we read Ender’s Game I didn’t think that annotating every chapter was a good review, and with annotating you understand much more whats going on on the book, I didn’t expect to learn that. There is really nothing of that I can think that I wanted to learn in this class. We learn a lot and did many activities that I din’t even think we missed something. I think what best prepare me for the taks test was doing the sixs weeks exams, it helped me best because it showed you how good or bad you were doing or preparing for the taks test. What best prepare me for English for next year it think I’m going to say Mrs. Brantley, she made this year learnable and fun, and I think thats a great combination to teach English. Everything we learned in this class is going to help me for next year EVERY THING! My favorite book we read this year was Ender’s Game, I really liked it because it had what I like in a book a little bit of everything, comedy, actions and drama. I really Enjoyed this book.

Ender and guy Montag are a like in the different ways. They both were doing something for the good of some one atleast they thought at once. Like Ender being train to kill the buggers, and Montag burning the books. They both didn’t like the society they were living in. They both also found out at the end that everything they did was worth doing. like Ender traning and Montag deciding to do the oppositive like escape from the police and even killing people. Ender alse well. Ender did kind of regret him killing the buggers, but at the end he realized that that was his real mission. They both are different in a way. Montag was not different from the other people he was a normal citizen who thought that burning books was the right thing of doing. Ender In other case was always a different person as a citizen and as to every one else. Ender was a smart out going kid who had a very different way of fixing out his problems. Montag was a ignorant man who at the end found out who he really was. I would relate Caesar the most because he was a hero as well as Ender.

We someone murders someone I feel like that person should pay for what he did, but in the case with Ender its different! I know why Ender did what he did and what were his feelings about it. I know that if it wasn’t him it was the other who was sopposed to die. This tells me that Ender was defending him self, he didn’t have a choice, and after all he didn’t even know he commited murder. I really don’t think he should be punished, because if I was him i would of done the same thing. If he gets in another fight and he has no other choice than to kill that other person in order to survive, I think he should do what he needs to do for him not to get hurt. That’s just the way life is it’s a matter of surviving. I really can’t think of any one in our society who has gotten away with murder, but if some one did get away with something like that it would be something big, because taking someone’s life has a result, in out society killing someone no matter how it is it’s a big thing. For Ender it’s understandable because we know his reason’s and his intensions. We also know that he did’t mean to do what he did, He! didn’t know he had murder two people. So, thats why it’s different for Ender and in todays society.

Enders game blog #3

I think that the children at the school are not treated fair or good, but in this case i think that it should be like that. The point of the program is for the students to prepare to fight the enemy, and if you treate them nice and they are trained nice when the enemy comes and it’s time to fight and the enemy treates them bad or not fair they are going to quit or died faster, but is they are train to be hard and not have any mercy than they’ll have a better chance of beating the enemy. I don’t think the way they are treated is abusive there’s a reason why they are there, and that reason is for them not to back down from nothing to always be brave. To me they are treated just how any army would train it’s soilders hard but not abusive. I don’t think Graff should be reported. I know he is not the nicest man in the planet. He does treat the students with some how of abusive behaivor but thats so they will be succefull in their duty. I think that no one should report him really he’s just trying his best to train the students. With ender he is being really hard because he wants him to be the one the main weapon of the war. He knows that Ender is the right one and he pushes him to the fullest so that Eender can succee.

I think dink is correct but corrected in his world. In his time or in his understanding dink can’t lose they have to win. I don’t think Dink feels sorry about his observations, he said to Ender like if his life was put on to it. The goals of the students in the school is that they have to keep winning they have to keep on trying to be the best. They have an obsession and that is winning. Their goals are to be the best at the games, they are so focus on beating the games than actually looking out for the world. The goals of the children in the book are very different from goals from children I know. In the book they have no GOALS they have one GOAL and that’s wining. The children I know have different views of seeing things. To me I can’t same that the kids in the book are not normal because I don’t know what normal would be, but I can say that they are very different. Different in the way that they are smarted than many other kids. That they act a little more mature that really what a 6-year-old would act. I considered my self having a different childhood from them. I had many goals during my childhood and most of my goals changed within time. When I was 6 my goal was getting new video games or having a bike, as you grow up your goals change, maybe your goal won’t be getting a bike but getting a car. In the book the children only have one goal and thats winning.

Enders Game Blog #1

I think this will affect him in a way. A way witch will make him act different with other people. He loves his sister but almost hates his brother. This here will make him try to be like his sister a nice gentle boy, and not like Peter who just wants to hurt people and specially him.

I have a little brother and a big brother and we all three have an amazing relationship with each other. My big bother is 25 years old he lives a lone in his own apartment, and my little brother is only 8 and he lives with me. And even though me and my little brother don’t live with our big brother we still have a strong relationship. When ever I need to go some where, and my mom or dad can’t take me I mostly always call my big brother. He seems to always help me out with that and many other things. He is always telling me and my little brother have to be in a good road to a good life no drinking, smoking, or any other type eof drug. His the best big brother ever. With my little brother he is even more generous. He really stands for us. I think I would not change anything of our relationship with my brothers. I think its perfect and it should stay like that for ever, because now I know that having two brothers like mine it is a preblish.

Fahrengeit 451 Blog #1

People haven’t stopped reading today, but everyday there is less people reading, every generation is being dumber because they don’t read and to me I think that’s one of the best ways to learn many things to learn how to survive in life. This is occurring because there are more people now in the world that instead of getting out a book and enjoy reading they instead go out and do other bad stuff, such as drugs. Also one thing that is changing people to stop reading I think it is technology. Now there is so many technology that from your phone you can play a game and also explore the internet. I think this affects why people are stoping to read especially on teenagers. I really can’t think of a way to get people to start reading again they are already used to the way of life they have it’ll be hard to make some one stop playing videos games or drinking or doing any type of drug. This really does make the world dumber. The world is being destroyed by us even though some people don’t realize that, but we are. There are many companies that do harm to us like a companie that produces beer, cigaretts, and many other stuff that hurts us the people of the world. To me all of this is happing because of money, yes money every one just wants to make money that they don’t care to hurt some one to get that money, and that is a bad thing who knows maybe in the future there’ll be killing because of this.

Blog #1-5th 6-weeks

Last six weeks we did a lot. We started reading a book named Fahrenheit 451, and we also learned about all the words like metaphor, simile and how to find them in the book. My favorite axtivity was where we worked in partners to finish a study guide. To say the truth my least favorite thing was reading the book. I didn’t like it because the book is kind of boring to me it doesn’t make sence, the book is really wierd and how they made it in the future makes it even more un real. I hope to finish this book and continue to read another one that we all will like and also to finish watching the movie for the book we are reading. I also hope we take it more easy in this class due to that we already completed the taks test in whitch I know I passed. Maybe we could finish off the year with interesting things like doing a fun project or read a book like ”Julius Caesar” I really thought that was fun, and maybe we can try that again with another book. Some thing like ”King Henry” I’m hoping that we don’t tak many quizs becuase we have more taks test for us coming and having quizs and test makes it even more harder for us. I like this class it’s fun and at the same time hard, but I guess thats what makes a class interesting.

One time I had a friend who was like my best friend. Me and him were always together we would go out with the girlfriends together everything it was a really nice friendship. One day me and that friend went to the swimming pool at some apartments. There we a lot of others kids there and a lot of girls. While swimming he told me to do something i didn’t want to do. he told me in front of everybody to get in the bike and jump in the pool with it. I didn’t know what to do everyone was there and he kept telling me that i was a little girl if i didn’t do it. I knew i could get hurt and in trouble if somone from the office saw me. I looked at him in the eyes and told him i didn’t want to do it and that i wasn’t going to it and that real friends don’t do that. When i went home i kept thinking about what had happen. I thought of how my friend was and how he treated me. That was the first that had happen to me and i felt bad because my best friend had put me to peer presure, and at the same time i was proud of my self for making the right decision. after all I learned something and that is don’t do what you don’t want to do jsut be who you are and don’t let nobody control your actions.

A time when I felt guilty was that one time when I was 12 and I lied about my cousin letting the dog out which made my dad get a 500 ticket for the dog biting the neighbors cat. It happen like this me and him were playing soccer in the backyard and since he wasn’t scoring any goles he got mad and starting crying of how mad he was, I started laughing at him. That made him really angry. so he ran out side the yard and left the gate open and the dog saw it so he run out. I ran behind him and when I go to him it was to late because by that time he had the cat by the neck. At the end my cousin ended up in trouble I felt bad because I felt gulity knowing that it was actually my fault that the dog got out. At the same time I didn’t feel so guilty because I didn’t force him to open the door he opened it by him self, yet it was kind of my fault for laughing at him instead of helping him out by telling him not to be mad. I don’t fell like i was being hard with my self to me I think I was being fair because I was accepting it was my fault. I think that when eve you feel guilty about something you should see if it really is your fault that is happing and happened.
